Okay, so ranking every Marvel movie worst to best has basically taken over my evenings lately. I’ve been glued to this old couch in my apartment, fan blowing because it’s already getting warm and humid outside, with empty Red Bull cans and popcorn bags everywhere like I just survived another all-nighter.

I’m not some expert reviewer or anything – just a regular dude in the States who grew up catching these movies whenever I could scrape together cash for tickets or wait for the DVD. Back in the early days I’d drag my buddies to the theater after work, then we’d grab cheap burgers on the way home and argue the whole ride. Now I do solo marathons when I can’t sleep, and my opinions flip around depending on my mood. One night I’m all in, the next I’m muttering “that was dumb” at the screen. That’s just how it is.

Why I Even Bother With Ranking Every Marvel Movie

It’s kinda like my dumb little hobby at this point. Last winter I remember it was snowing pretty good outside, I had the heat cranked, and I was eating cold leftover pizza while Civil War played again. That one scene with the teams fighting still gets me going, but then some of the newer ones come on and I’m just staring, wondering where it all went sideways for me.

I’ve made a fool of myself plenty of times defending or trashing these films at backyard cookouts. I’ll be flipping burgers, beer in hand, and suddenly I’m in a heated debate while the neighbors just laugh. But hey, that’s me – I get way too into it and my takes aren’t always consistent.

The Ones at the Bottom – These Still Make Me Cringe a Bit

Let’s rip the band-aid off with the rough ones. These are the Marvel movies that had Ranking Every me checking my phone or dozing off no matter how hard I tried.

    • Eternals felt long and kinda flat. I put it on one night after a long day and ended up scrolling instead of paying attention.
    • Thor: The Dark World – threw this on while doing chores around the apartment and honestly forgot most of it by the time the credits hit.
    • Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania had some funny bits but the villain stuff was just weird. Watched it during a hot spell with all the windows open and still couldn’t get into it.

I feel kinda bad putting them this low because I used to hype up Ranking Every everything MCU, but after a few rewatches I just can’t fake it anymore.metallicman.com

The Middle Ones – Decent Enough for a Lazy Afternoon

A big chunk of the list sits right here. They’re not amazing but they’re fine when you just want something on in the background while you’re chilling or recovering from a rough week.

    • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had wild visuals but the story jumped around too much for me, especially watching it late with only the TV lighting up the room.
    • Black Widow was okay in the theater – we grabbed snacks and laughed at some parts – but it felt like it should’ve come out earlier.
    • Shang-Chi had some really cool fights that woke me up, but the middle dragged while I was eating takeout from the place nearby.

These are the ones I don’t mind throwing Ranking Every on when I’m tired but still want some action and jokes without thinking too hard. They’ve gotten me through plenty of boring weekends.

The Almost-Top Tier – These Come Close to Being Favorites

These are the ones I’ll actually recommend to friends without hesitation and still get a little excited talking about.

    • Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 caught me off guard with how emotional it got. I was out on the porch pretending my eyes were just watering from the wind.
    • Spider-Man: No Way Home brought back that fun fan energy Ranking Every. My roommate and I were yelling at the big moments like we were kids again.
    • Captain America: The Winter Soldier holds up strong – the spy stuff feels extra relevant when everything else in life seems chaotic too.

I catch myself going back and forth on these depending on the day. Mood really messes with how I see them sometimes.

My Real Top Picks in This Ranking Every Marvel Movie List

Here’s where I get stubborn. These are the ones I’ll defend and rewatch without question.

    1. Avengers: Endgame – Still the high point for me. That big battle in the theater had everyone cheering and I get chills thinking about it even now.
    2. Avengers: Infinity War – The ending just wrecked me. I sat in the car afterward staring at nothing, fries getting cold in my lap.
    3. Captain America: Civil War – The airport fight is pure gold. I’ve rewatched that scene way too many times on my TV during quiet days.

My whole ranking every Marvel movie thing is sloppy and personal as hell. I probably missed some details or ranked stuff wrong because I’m just typing this from memory while the AC hums and traffic noise comes through the window. I contradict myself all the time – loving something one week and being meh the next. That’s real life.

Going through all this reminded me that these movies are just entertainment at the end of the day. Some hit harder when you’re in the right headspace, others become comfort noise on rainy Sundays. I’ve learned to stop overthinking the flaws and just enjoy what works for me.

So what’s your ranking look like? Throw it in the comments even if it’s completely different from mine – I actually like hearing other takes. And if it’s been a while since you did a big MCU run, grab some snacks from the store this weekend, kick back, and give it another shot. Might surprise you what still holds up or what doesn’t.

Anyway, that’s my not-polished, kinda rambling take. I’m probably about to start another movie right now while it’s still decent outside. Hit me up if you want to argue about it. Sorry if the end got a little all over the place – my brain does that after too many Marvel nights.
